Play Group

We went to our first playgroup yesterday and had a great time. Blair, one of the moms who I met at My Gym organized the group. I have been wanting to do something in addition to My Gym to increase the twins' chances for socialization with other kids but am not the organizer/leader type. Five moms, including me, met for lunch and then went to Blair's house so the kids could play. Elizabeth and Thomas had a great time and loved Mily's toys. The grown-ups had a good time as well. I was afraid Thomas would be the only boy, but there were two others. We are going to meet again next week.

It is so bittersweet watching T and E grow. I watch proudly as they play independently and alongside other children, and then they come to me with hugs or pats as if to say " ah, there you are" and are off again. I want my children to grow into little independent people ready to take on the world all the while knowing they have me as a safety net.
