36 weeks

We have made it to 36 weeks! All is well. No contractions today. Amy left this morning, and I miss her already. We had such a good visit! She totally spoiled me with good company, good food, pedicures, foot rubs and hand rubs. She made so many tasty dishes and put them in the freezer for us to eat later. What a great gift! I think she is planning on coming back in the fall to see the twins.

The longer I thought about my doctor's appointment yesterday the more I realized I was unhappy with it. Each time I had a question he cut me off, and he seemed to assume I wanted him to go ahead and schedule to take the twins early. My fear is/has been that I will go into labor, and they won't be able to stop it in time for the c-section. Because of my colorectal history I have been advised not to go through a vaginal delivery because it could damage the repairs I had in November 2001. Anyway, I didn't get to convey those fears to the doctor yesterday. After talking to Jo today I decided to call my primary OB/GYN's nurse and discuss my worries with her. I felt much better after talking with her. Of course, she couldn't make me any promises, but at the same time she was very reassuring and told me to call anytime I wasn't feeling right and they would check me out.

My next appointment is this Thursday at 8:30. I am going in for a non-stress test and to have my cervix checked.

You have the right to be concerned about your delivery. Hang in there. If you go into labor, you make sure that David gets real buff and tough and demand that they take your precious babies via C-section. If they know what is good for them, they would much rather deal with him than an emotional, pregnant lady in labor.

Miss ya,
Cathy

I'm so glad you called them! You shouldn't worry any more than absolutely necessary.
