29 Weeks
Today Ashley is 29 weeks pregnant. Last night we went to an infant CPR class next door to the hospital. Ashley started having contractions around 4pm yesterday and called the doctor. The doctor called while we were in the class and said as long as the contractions weren't too strong and were more than 30 minutes apart, not to worry about it. While we were on they way home from the class, Ashley had another contraction and wanted to go to the hospital so we turned around and made it to the hosptial around 8pm. At this point, she was having contractions every 5 minutes or so but she couldn't feel all of them. They gave her an iv and several medications to stop the contractions. The doctor decided to admit her late last night. By this morning, the contractions were much further apart and not as strong. They have her on some medicine to help quell the contractions and also gave her an injection to help the baby's lungs just in case they come early. The doctor is coming back this afternoon but said that if the contractions continue to subside she may be able to go home this afternoon and be on bed rest.
