Who is Douglas??? Douglas is Thomas and Elizabeth's preschool class pet. He is a stuffed dalmatian puppy who gets to go home with each student in T and E's preschool class. Elizabeth LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Douglas. She wants to tell everyone she meets/talks to about him. So far she has told Franny, Aunt JoJo, the painter, the painter's helper.....you get the idea.
Thomas can take him or leave him....though Douglas is more appealing when Elizabeth really wants him. Thomas usually lets Elizabeth sleep with Douglas when it is really "Thomas's Douglas Day." Tonight is our last night with Douglas. We hope he comes back soon.
This post is NOT intended as a hint for family members to purchase a real dog for Elizabeth. We don't need anything else that requires food or water.

I just hope your Dad did not get wind of this, I do not think your warning was LOUD enough.Elizabeth forgot too tell me about Douglas, shucks. I did have a great time with you all even though it was short.Made it back Home to VA today 11-15-09, about 600pm.Love to all. Jim
