Sleep deprived.......again

David and I are once again sleep deprived. Why? I have one word.....PACIFIERS. We are up and down the stairs 4 maybe 5 times each night looking for pacifiers with a pin light. It is driving me CRAZY! I would rather be up nursing every three hours.....at least I would be providing nourishment while being sleep deprived and would know about what time I could expect to be up again. Pardon the crankiness. David and I are both puzzled.....should we take the pacifiers away? We think it is time......Can we take the crying? Now that the twins are out of the "crying it out" phase we will definitely have to psyche ourselves back up for more crying phases. Everything we (david) has read says the longer we wait the harder it will be.

Any advice?

Ok, my two cents...we are in the same boat. We were at a place where Savannah was doing the same waking. We attempted to get rid of it, because I knew it was the thing to do. My doctor even said so. However, Savannah did fine the first three nights, then began screaming?! After a several nights of furstration, we gave it back. She still has it now, strictly for sleeping. Now Avery on the other hand, we took hers away just before 1 year and she cried for 3 nights and then was done.

So, my advice...try it, see how it goes. You will know what is right for you and for them. Either way they know they are loved and their parents only want the best for them!

Hey Lisa! thanks for your two cents. I forget that Savannah is a month older than the twins.

I will let you know how it goes.

Hey Ashley! Glad you found the blog. We had a good time today. We won't be at playgroup next week but will see you the week after.

alrighty... you know my rule of thumb... 3 days/3 nights of hell, a habit should be broken 90% of the time. let me know what happens! it is really a matter of getting yourself in the mind set, ya know? it's tough!!! you can do it! :)
